The Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Timi Frank, says he will pay courtesy visits to President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo as part of his efforts to rescue the party from collapse.
Frank, who said this yesterday while fielding questions from journalists on what he called "a rescue mission", added that he would also visit the former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; former Vice President Atiku Abubakar; Senate President Bukola Saraki; and Speaker Yakubu Dogara of the House of Representatives.
He will also meet Chief Bisi Akande, Dr Ogbonaya Onu, Prince Tony Momoh, and the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), Rochas Okorocha, the governor of Imo State as well as the APC governors.
The visit, which, he said, would begin with the former Chairman of the New Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP), Dr Abubakar Kawu Baraje.

He said the visit was necessary to convince the party's founding members of the need to consider convening emergency National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on the ongoing crises rocking the APC.
He warned that the APC might suffer in 2019 if the problems he attributed to Oyegun's "incompetence" were not quickly tackled head-on.
Frank said, "I'll do everything that it takes to ensure that we re-build this party to the party we all dream....I don't want APC to die under Oyegun and it is important for President Muhammadu Buhari to have a rethink. When Oyegun was Chairman of ANPP, it was his incompetence that led Buhari out of the party to form CPC. This man's same incompetence is about to drive most members of the party out if something urgent is not done.
"APC has within now and January 2017 to get things right, failure to do so before that time might be too late because most of us by then will be seeking alternatives to pursue our political agendas. If we are not careful, there might not be APC in 2019."
